12. Next, Meet your new best friend Quark!
Quark uses Quantum intelligence to find important information from all of the notes that have been completed for your individual in the date range of your summary. You can use Quark to write summaries for goal/objecitve progress if your program writes narratives for each goal/objective. If your program only does trials there may not be any notes for Quark to summarize here. If this occurs, Quark will let you know. Even if your agency only does trials, you can still use Quark for your overall summary as shown in Step 14.
13. Click "Generate Summary"
14. and just like that, your summary will be written! Once your summary is written you may edit it, rework part of it, or delete parts as you wish.
15. On the overall summary at the end of the goals section (the section labeled incremental summary), Quark will look for and summarize any important notes found from any event based documentation for the date range you selected. You may edit, adjust or remove information in here too.
16. You may also use Quark to alter the overall tone or phrasing of your summary, even your manual, non QI generated narratives!
The options for rephasing are shown below. If you are reviewing progress data in a therapy or behavioral health setting you might wish to Select "Therapist" or "Counselor". If this is an ICF individual and you want the summary more focused on medical information specifically, you may select "Medical". If you want less of a paragraph format and more bullet points, select Bullet Point, and Quark will rewrite your summary as shown in Step 17.
17. Click "Rewrite Summary"
18. We used Quark to rephrase the summary to "Bullet Point" which gave us the below summary.
19. Once you have finished your summary click the diskette in the lower left hand corner to save. If you are finished with your summary and no additional change is required you may wish to select "Lock Record" in the as shown below. This will protect your summary be preventing future editing or changes. If you still have work to do on this summary, be sure to select "Do Not Lock Record" so your summary remains editable.
